Creating Banners

Banners are targeted pop-up ads that are displayed to community members! They can be configured to show up on specific channels when users meet certain rules. With banners, you'll be able to easily get messages out to specific groups of community members! Since multiple banners can be created, scheduled, and set live at a single time, you'll be able to plan for and organize different community announcements and advertisements.

To set up a banner, navigate to the ‘Banner’ page in your community settings and click on the plus button to start setting up your first banner.

Here you can customize your banner the way you would like:

  • Banner Title: Give your banner an appropriate title so that it's easily identifiable.
  • Banner Message: Choose whether you want the sender’s icon to appear in the banner or not.
  • Call to Action: This allows you to add a call to action that links to a URL of your choice!
  • Sender: Choose if you'd like to show a specific user's icon in your banner.
  • Style: Customize your banner’s colors and positioning.
  • Channels: Choose which channel(s) this banner will appear on.
  • Roles: Choose which role(s) you want this banner to appear to.
  • Start Sending: Decide when you want this banner to go live.
  • Stop Sending: Decide when you want this banner to go offline.

Once you've configured your banner, you can choose to schedule your banner for a future date, set it live immediately, or save it as a draft to edit later on!

Make use of banners to market certain important events or promotions to members of your server. These can range from providing coupon codes to rewarding your top contributors! Set your banner as a draft to continue working on it later, or set it to go live to begin getting your message out there.

Managing your Banners

Multiple Banners can be created and run simultaneously on your server. You'll be able to view all your banners on the main Banner page. Here you'll be able to see the titles of all your current banners, all the channels they are set to run in, the roles they will appear to, the day they are scheduled to start & end, and their current status. You will also be able to gain insight into the number of times your banner has been viewed, and the number of URL clicks.

To edit or delete any banner, simply click on the pencil or trash bin icons on the right-hand side of each banner.
